What began as a small pop-up market stall in Sydney quickly grew into a colourful community favourite — and today continues to evolve through events, bookings and exciting new salon partnerships.

From our early market days in Sydney to our growing Sunshine Coast community and expanding salon partnerships, Wild4Feathers continues to create joyful styling moments that people remember long after the feathers are installed.

Our Story
Wild4Feathers was established in 2010 after spotting a gap in the Australian market for something fun, colourful and unique in hair styling.
What began with bright coloured hair feather extensions and a beautiful range of natural feathers quickly captured the attention of kids, teens and families. With five feather lengths available and professional styling offered on the spot, Wild4Feathers pop-up stalls quickly became a favourite attraction at markets and community events.
Our Early Years
Originally based in Sydney, Wild4Feathers operated at a number of popular weekend markets including:
• Glebe Markets
• Narrabeen Markets
• Bondi Markets
• Avoca Beach Markets
• The Entrance Markets
• Umina Beach BIG4 Holiday Resort
Over the years we expanded across Sydney and the Central Coast, working with an incredible team of teenage staff who helped create unforgettable experiences for thousands of customers.
Many families remember lining up at our stalls while our stylists professionally installed colourful feather extensions for excited kids and teens. For many years, business was booming and Wild4Feathers became a well-known feature at weekend markets.
Expanding Online
In 2016, the Wild4Feathers online store was launched to allow customers across Australia — and around the world — to access our products.
This allowed stylists, salons and hair lovers everywhere to purchase our feather extensions, tools and accessories online.
Navigating COVID
Like many small businesses, Wild4Feathers was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
With markets closed and events cancelled, the business faced nearly 18 months without the ability to trade in person. Despite the challenges, Wild4Feathers remained determined to keep the brand alive and continue serving customers.
A Fresh Start on the Sunshine Coast
In 2021, Wild4Feathers relocated to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland, with a vision to rebuild the business even stronger.
By late 2022, we began re-establishing our feather collections and slowly returned to trading at local Sunshine Coast markets.
Wild4Feathers Today
Wild4Feathers continues to appear at selected Sunshine Coast markets and special events, including locations such as:
• Caloundra Street Fair
• Peregian Beach Markets
• Salty Saturdays Coolum
• Caloundra BIG4 Holiday Park events
• Local Christmas festivals and community celebrations
Over the years these markets have helped Wild4Feathers connect with thousands of families, children and teens who love the fun, colour and creativity of feather hair styling.
A New Direction in 2026
In 2026, Wild4Feathers is evolving to make our services and products even more accessible to customers.
While we will still attend special market events and festivals, the business is now placing a stronger focus on:
• Online bookings
• Kids birthday parties
• Private event bookings
• Festival and entertainment events
These bookings allow us to bring the full Wild4Feathers experience directly to customers and create more personalised styling experiences.
Bringing Feather Styling Into Hair Salons
Another exciting development for 2026 is our project to introduce Wild4Feathers feather products into hair salons across:
• Sunshine Coast
• Brisbane
• Other cities throughout Australia
This project is currently underway and will allow customers to enjoy feather extensions as part of their regular hair appointments.
Instead of needing to attend one of our market pop-up locations, customers will soon be able to have feather extensions professionally installed while visiting their salon for haircuts or colouring.
Because we cannot physically be everywhere at once, partnering with salons allows Wild4Feathers to reach more customers across Australia while continuing to deliver professional installation and styling.
Growing Creative Experiences
The growth of Wild4Feathers in Queensland also opened the door to new creative projects and complementary experiences.

A colourful glitter and face-painting experience that operates alongside Wild4Feathers at markets and events.
Wild360 Video Booth
A 360° spin-shot video booth designed to capture unforgettable moments at parties, festivals and special events.
Together, these three businesses create vibrant and interactive experiences for communities across the Sunshine Coast.
Handmade With Love
Wild4Feathers proudly hand-dyes many of our feather extensions and hand-creates our glitter products from start to finish.
Every product is carefully developed and produced by Wild4Feathers with creativity, care and attention to detail.
